Jeff Smith, managing director
Jeff is a purpose-driven marketer with over 20 years experience dedicated to advising individuals and brands on maximizing their social impact. Prior to launching Generosity NY, Jeff orchestrated results driven movements at the nexus of non-profits, celebrities, brands and technology. He is credited with building innovative marketing strategies and campaigns for top brands (Chevy, Wrangler, AT&T, Red Bull & more), leading non-profits (Malaria No More, Water for People, Action Against Hunger, Exhibit Darfur), and notable philanthropists and their foundations (Gates, Case, Rockefeller & more).
Jeff has spent a decade directing business into the pro-social space, merging profit, purpose, and pop-culture. His work is highlighted in several award-winning campaigns - Ashton Kutcher/Twitter nets race, American Idol Gives Back, and Comedy Fights Malaria. Jeff works in Manhattan and resides in Northern NJ with his wife Bonnie, and 3 boys.
Tim Vickers, director
Tim is a founding team member of Generosity NY and serves as a director. He is known to be an innovative and compassionate leader who energizes collaboration and dynamic connections locally and globally.
Tim has more than 20 years of experience in the areas of leadership and non-profit growth and development. He had a long career with Young Life where he launched and led sites in Ohio, New York and Connecticut, providing leadership and direction in a variety of roles including Regional Director. Tim manages the Generosity NY and Mission Increase strategic partnership and is also the founding director for Mission Increase Greater New York, bringing world class biblical fundraising training to the region.
He is passionate about helping organizations thrive and maximize their impact and resides in Fairfield County, Connecticut with his wife Lori and their two school-age boys.
Corinne Spurrier, Executive Event Designer
Corinne Spurrier brings a wealth of experience in both the private and nonprofit sectors. With a 12-year career in marketing and graphic design, Corinne designed corporate identities for Fortune 500 companies, worked on new product development and packaging, and led strategic market analysis.
Matching her skills with her passion to end human trafficking and other injustices, Corinne has volunteered her expertise with churches, charities, and nonprofits such as First Resort (San Francisco), AVAIL (NYC), Generosity NY, and Next Generation Nepal.
Corinne has a particular gifting for event planning, chairing 800-person galas and helping organizations grow their fundraising events. Corinne is an advocate for generosity to better support nonprofit organizations and hopes for a day when funds will be funneled toward preventing abuse and trafficking, instead of fixing it.
Ralph Veerman, Partnerships
Ralph Veerman is President and CEO of Veerman & Associates (V&A), a philanthropic consulting company. As a non-profit executive, Veerman was National Director of YFC/Youth Guidance in Chicago; Senior Vice President of Prison Fellowship USA and President of Ligonier Ministries, a Christian Education publishing enterprise before founding his consulting firm, V&A, in 1988.
In the early years of V&A, Veerman coached non-profit Christian executives in management, major gift fund-raising, marketing and communications. Currently, he assists foundations and high net worth families, helping them to evaluate and improve their favorite charities. Veerman is on the Boards of Trinity Forum Europe, London; Friends of Wycliffe Hall Oxford USA; Excelsis, Orlando and is Founder of Lifework Leadership. He is a former Trustee of United Arts of Central Florida, the Riverside Foundation, Heart of the City Foundation and the Advisory Board of The Templeton Foundation. He is also in the College of Elders at First Presbyterian Church of Orlando. He is also a Senior Adviser to Generosity: NY, Museum of the Bible in Washington D.C. and Impact Foundation.
He is married to Lynne and they have four children and ten grandchildren and they both enjoy skiing, mountain biking and high-alpine hiking in Crested Butte, Colorado.
